Sunshine Start

If your expected finish time for the 16-Miler is more than three hours, you can start one hour early (at 9:00AM) in our Sunshine Start wave. Please note that there will be limited support for the first four miles on the course for those who choose the early start option. The purpose is to ensure that all runners finish before the course is closed.

Gearing up to run a marathon this spring? Or, just want to see if those COVID miles are paying off? We've got a race for you! We're excited to bring back the annual Northeast Delta Dental BP Lite 5 Mile and Boston Prep 16 mile road races. Enjoy a scenic run with gentle rolling hills through the back roads of East Derry. Both races start and finish at West Running Brook Middle School in Derry. There will be tech shirts for the first 325 registered runners, post-race food, age group prizes, and professional timing. After the race, celebrate with a FREE BEER at our after-party at the Rockingham Brewery!

The 27th Running of the Northeast Delta Dental Boston Prep – this moderately challenging 16-miler is ideally scheduled for runners training for the Boston Marathon, any other spring marathon or a runner looking for a mid-winter challenge! Are you a regular runner but not ready for a full 16? Try the "BP-Lite," which offers a taste of the Boston Prep experience on a 5-mile course!

16-Miler Overview

• Fees: $75.00 until 1/20/23 $80.00 1/21/23 to race day. Register early and save!

• $85.00 Race Day registration (If not sold out): at the West Running Brook Middle School, 7:30 am – 9:45 am

• Mile markers at every mile. Water/Gatorade stops at 3, 6, 9, & 12 miles

• We reserve the right to close the course at 1:00 pm. There will be a Sunshine start at 9:00 am for 16-Miler runners wanting extra time.

• Chip timing splits at 13.1 and finish.

• Overall Race Awards will go to the First Three Overall Male and Female finishers.

• Age group awards 3 deep: Under 19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+ Male and Female.

5-Miler Overview

• Fees: 5-Miler $40.00 if received by 1/20/23, $45.00 from 1/21/23 to race day.

• Race day registration (If not sold out) at the West Running Brook Middle School, 7:30 am – 9:45 am

• Mile markers at every mile. Water/Gatorade stop at ~2 miles

• Overall Race Awards will go to the First Three Overall Male and Female finishers

Results

• The race will be professionally timed by New England Timing.

• The results will be posted on http://www.ne-timing.com/results.php after the race.

• Errors in the results should be directed to the timing company.

 

After Party - Rockingham Brewery in Derry.

• All runners will receive a ticket that can redeemed for a free beer at the brewery after the race. Directions available below.

 

Directions

From North/South: Take Rt. 93 to exit 4 (Rt. 102). Take Rt. 102 East to traffic circle. Take 1st right off circle onto Rt. 28 South. Proceed approximately 0.5 mile to West Running Brook Middle School on left at lights.

From East: Take Rt. 101 West to Exit 5 (Rt. 102). Take left off exit onto Rt. 102 West. Proceed Rt. 102 West to traffic circle. Take 3rd right off circle onto Rt. 28 ByPass South. Proceed approximately 0.5 mile to West Running Brook Middle on left at lights.
