Kids Summer Fun Runs 2017
When: June 22, 29; July 6, 13, 20, 27; August 3rd
Time: Registration opens 6:00pm & Races start 6:30pm
Where: Pinkerton Academy Track, Derry, NH
Who: All children ages 2 to 92
What: Donation of a nonperishable food product weekly is all that is requested.

At the 42nd annual Kid's Summer Fun Runs everyone is a winner! Members of the Greater Derry Track Club will lead stretching exercises and offer running tips. 2-3 year olds run approximately 50 yards, 4-6 year-olds run 200 meters, 7-8 year-olds run 300 meters, 9-10 year-olds run 600 meters, 11-13 year old run the cross country mile, and 14 and older run the open mile. 

Everyone gets a participation ribbon complements of the Derry Recreation Department and a commemorative T-shirt at the end of the program courtesy of the Greater Derry Track Club. Water, Gatorade and watermelons are supplied each week. At the end of the series prizes and medals are given for participation in this healthy event.

This is a weekly free activity. While it is co-sponsored by the Derry Recreation Department, it is open to children from any town or city. Non-perishable food donations are appreciated to help support local food pantries.


Directions
From North/South: Take Rt. 93 to exit 4 (Rt. 102). Take Rt. 102 East to traffic circle. Take 4th right off circle onto Rt. 28 North. Proceed approximately 0.5 mile to Pinkerton Academy's parking lot. 

From East: Take Rt. 101 West to Exit 5 (Rt. 102). Take left off exit onto Rt. 102 West. Proceed Rt. 102 West to traffic circle. Take 1st right off circle onto Rt. 28 North. Proceed approximately 0.5 mile to to Pinkerton Academy's parking lot.
