Week 4 - July 17th

The humid air and threatening skies did not keep 62 more children from signing up for
the Kids Summer Fun Runs. Pinkerton Track was hopping with children running various
distances based on their age at 6:30 pm. Over the three nights of runs, 511 children
have participated. All that is asked is a nonperisible food item each week to help
restock the food pantry in town. The KSFR brought in 224 pounds of food tonight. This
brings the total amount donated to 835 pounds of food to St. Thomas’s food pantry.
Many smiles were seen on both parents and children as they ran around the track or
cross country trail.10 seedless watermelons were gobbled up by all the runners after
their races. Join us next week at Pinkerton Track 6:00 registrations, 6:30 races
and bring a food item. Only three more races left weather permitting.
